About Valuation

Corporate valuations are essential from the viewpoint of various corporate finance activities such as fundraising, business sale, M&A, and from that of the regulatory and accounting requirements. Despite the existence of international valuation standards, often, valuations prove incorrect, incomplete, or inaccurate. Accurate and credible valuations are critical to the efficient working of capital markets, government institutions, businesses, and all of their stakeholders.

In India, valuation is evolving. Concepts such as registered valuer in Companies Act, 2013 and Fair Value in Ind-AS are becoming increasingly crucial in Indian Valuation Standards. Besides, India is increasingly adopting a lot of complex valuation methods. This is the reason why trustworthy and certified valuers will continue to play an essential role in delivering accurate and complete valuations, and thus contribute to the efficient working of all the elements of the corporate ecosystem.
